Training and Professional Growth for the MeP Team!

Continuous training and developing new and stronger soft skills are crucial to staying competitive and relevant, especially in the cultural and creative sectors.

For the Melting Pro team, keeping up with the latest and most innovative methodologies is a top priority.

That’s why we decided to participate in the Erasmus+ Program for mobility of learners and staff in adult education with our project B.Cool! Take Part. Building Skills for New Participatory Models Throughout Europe.

Melting Pro understands the importance of acquiring the tools to become a driving force for positive change.

From January to October, we have been and will continue traveling around Europe, attending courses, workshops, and study visits on key topics such as facilitation, co-planning, engagement, leadership, design thinking, and sustainability.

Athena went to Bucharest, Romania, for training in “graphic facilitation”—a dynamic and creative approach to conducting meetings or workshops that combines art, drawing, graphic design, and facilitation techniques to create visual representations of conversations or presentations. She then continued her training in Malta with an English course to enhance her linguistic and intercultural skills.

Francesca and Patrizia attended the ENCATC Academy in Lille, France, for updates on environmental and social sustainability in the cultural sector. They gained insights into cultural policies for the triple transition and explored the role of collaborative design in promoting climate neutrality and generative learning spaces.

Silvia and Antonia were in Belgium for training and networking activities focused on Impact and Data Audience. They also attended the “Empowering the Cultural and Creative Sectors in Data-Driven Audience Development” conference in Ghent—an international environment full of opportunities to meet and connect with new European partners.

Federica, Ludovica, Giulia, Patrizia, Maura, Laura, and Antonia were in Berlin for the “Leadership for Audience Engagement” course facilitated by Cate Czerwinski, an expert in participatory practices, leadership, and audience engagement. They learned new facilitation techniques and discovered many fascinating aspects of the German capital.

But that’s not all!

At the end of July, Ludovica, Silvia, and Laura will fly to Spain to attend the course “Active Citizen: The Power Is in Your Hand!” to improve their skills in facilitating and activating local communities. In September, Federica, Laura, and Silvia will go to Zakynthos, Greece, for a study visit and to participate in the International Digital Storytelling Conference.

At the end of all these mobilities, a digital resource will be created to compile the know-how, practices, and new skills acquired during the project.
