After an intense selection of the 68 applications received, the staff from Melting Pro and Fondazione Fitzcarraldo is ready to start the course in audience development promoted within the project ADESTE.

The first intensive workshop, which begins today in Rome and will be hosted by the Museum of Zoology, will be attended by eight professionals from institutions active in Italy in different cultural areas: in addition to the Zoological Museum, the GNAM – National Gallery of modern and contemporary art of Rome, the MUSE – Science Museum of Trento, the Consorzio Bari Theatres, which this year brings together the historical theaters Kismet and Abeliano, the Romaeuropa Foundation, the Museum of Natural History and Archaeology of Montebelluna, CLAC, that in Palermo manages the Ecomuseum Sea Memory Alive, and CAOS, the Center for the Arts Opificio Siri of Terni.

Motivated by the common intention to invest in the direction of the public by acquiring innovative skills and tools, the participants will take part in a 10 months long training program that will lead them to structure an Audience Development plan for their organizations. The ADESTE course includes two workshops for the initial transfer of content and tools necessary to develop a plan linked to the concrete case of each participant’s institution. In parallel, the group will implement a process of shared reflection and discussion through the methodology of Action Learning, which will accompany the development and realization of the plans drawn up. In addition to the ADESTE Course in Rome, Melting Pro and Fitzcarraldo are also about to launch the course in Turin, with a first workshop to be held at Fitzlab on 11 and 12 May.
