Art is Us Exhibition – Rome 29 May

We are thrilled to invite you to the final exhibition of the project Art is Us – Art for local innovation, which will be held from 29 to 31 May 2023 at Saperi&Co – La Sapienza University of Rome.
Art is Us is an initiative funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus Plus programme and promotes civic engagement, participation and inclusion through the development of creative and digital skills.
The exhibition presents experimentation, artistic practices, social innovation activities, and research artists and creatives conduct through creative and contemporary languages.
Through contemporary languages and with the guidance of the creatives, the inhabitants of the territories involved were able to reflect on their condition, their relationship with nature, the social and cultural context in which they live, issues related to specific groups such as Roma communities, refugee communities, Lgbtq+ issues, and created photographic reports, artworks, videos, performances.
We will tell how artists, creative artists and community leaders from Italy, Greece, Germany and Slovenia who participated in the project’s training course (ABC – Art for Building Communities) realised their activities for communities through creative and visual methods to enhance and strengthen communities.
Among the creatives on display are videos and an installation by Marta Malsegna, an Italian artist who participated in the project and artistic residency in Slovenia.
The exhibition is part of the International Visual Methods Conference organised by the Sapienza University of Rome in collaboration with Melting Pro .
