Museums, emotions, experiences and participation are the key topics explored during the Third Edition of Musei Emotivi organised in Siena by Nemech – New Media for Cultural Heritage.
Three immersive days to understand the role of emotions in designing 21st century Museums.
How do you feel when you enter a museum? Understanding audience’s emotions can benefit organisations to better involve their audiences and foster active participation.
The first step to begin with it’s to have a clear vision and a shared strategy for a Museum to maximise its social, financial and creative impact. Nonetheless it requires willingness and eagerness to risk.
“If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original” Ken Robinson.
We are going to take part with a session on “ The role of stories and emotions for an effective audience development strategy”. It’s going to be a reflection around what we learnt through important project like ADESTE, DIAMOND and Mu.SA. We would like to discuss of audience development, the role of stories to narrate audiences’ needs and motivations, not only of the audiences but of museum staff too.
Here you can find the programme. The training will take place at Museo di Storia Naturale dell’Accademia dei Fisiocritici in collaboration with Fondazione Musei Senesi and Vernice Progetti Culturali in Siena from 30th – 1st April 2017.
