As educators, facilitators and cultural practitioners we believe in connecting across borders to bring about cultural change. Borders, which are not only geographical but also cultural, that sometimes, we impose ourselves.
Within ADESTE Plus – Creative Europe large scale project- together with our and on the experience acquired by other projects, our research is based on the CONNECT manifesto:
Our approach is based on these principles:
- Learn by doing
- Involve users
- Use evidence
- Prototype: test, validate, adapt
- Encourage small steps that lead to big change
- Make the most of diversity
- Be curious: keep asking questions
- Be bold: learn from mistakes
In all our work on audience development, we implement an approach based on our user need.
At the end of February, we will be hosted by Mercury Theatre di Colchester the most active producing theatre in the East of England and is a vital centre of excellence in the East’s growing creative economy. Their vision is a theatre where all the people of Colchester and the surrounding area can encounter new ideas and untold stories; can meet to experience top class entertainment; and can unleash the extraordinary power of live theatre so they can think, feel, express, share and be part of something.
