The audience-centred approach and digital strategies at the service of innovative curatorial practices and exhibition formats! This is what we have developed for Textile Culture Net, financed by the Creative Europe Programme: a series of online exhibitions designed for the Instagram platform conceived and developed by Lottozero – center for art, design and textile culture (Italy), TextielMuseum (Netherlands), Central Museum of Textiles (Poland) and CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) (Hong Kong)!
Prominent organizations in their sector that have been working for years to bring and diversify the audience to textile heritage, expanding the horizon of textile art and design through the construction of a dialogue on topics relevant to the contemporary era.
MeP with BAM! Strategie Culturali and with the support of The Story Behind have supported this international network of four textile institutions by transferring skills, tools and methodologies that will allow them to reach new digital users, supporting them to develop a more audience-oriented approach and explore innovative ways of engagement.
We are excited and proud of the first project that inaugurates the 2023/2024 exhibition program, curated by Caroline Kipp, an artist and curator based in Washington DC! Titled “The Unseen Self”, the exhibition features identity-focused works that go beyond traditional portraiture. Until June 2024 you can follow the other exhibitions.
Textile Culture Net is co-funded by the European Union.
