The city of Rome is preparing for the transformation of some peripheral areas.

Has come to life the renovation project of the R5 section of Tor Bella Monaca, the large building complex overlooking Archeologia Street in Municipality VI. In this area of the city, is being implemented the most ambitious regeneration program in recent decades, aimed at improving the quality of life of more than 4000 people.

A total investment of 130 million euros through the PINQuA (Innovative Program for the Quality of Living) and the PUI (Integrated Urban Plans) with Pnrr funds.

The financing is dedicated to the energy efficiency of the building, the creation of new spaces for social activities, the construction of a new building and the arrangement of green areas.

In addition to structural regeneration, Roma Capitale has envisaged the implementation of intangible interventions to promote social, cultural and economic activities.

In this context Spazio Cantiere was born, the neighborhood laboratory established by the Municipality of Rome in Tor Bella Monaca and managed by the DICEA Department of the Sapienza University of Rome and by Melting Pro.

In the coming months we will work to support inhabitants, associations and institutions in this transformation process and to promote moments of community building and social cohesion. Together we will try to build a new way of experiencing public space and participating in the social and cultural life of Tor Bella Monaca.
