Innovating communities through strengthening artistic and creative skills
Art for locan innovation (Art is Us) uses the transformative power of culture for community regeneration and to respond to the severe impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had both on artists and the cultural sector but also on social inclusion and cohesion.
We offer training to creatives, arts educators and community leaders to strengthen key skills and competences needed to deal with this new social and work dimension..
The project involves community managers, artists, educators who have an innovative vision for the future of their communities, in a blended learning process involving workshops, mentorship and peer-learning.
Participants, selected through a public call, will have the opportunity to make real their vision of community development, to grow through the Art is Us experience, to contribute to its realisation and to promote their work.

Art is Us supports a state-of-the-art educational approach that focuses on the needs of learners. Four microlearning courses will be developed:
→ understanding the community
→ building partnerships
→ budgeting and fundraising
→ developing a sustainable artistic career
25 participants will be selected for the training in Slovenia, Germany, Greece and Italy (100 in total) on the basis of their portfolios and innovative vision for change in their communities.

At a national level, moments of listening and confrontation with local communities and events open to citizens, public and private organisations will be organised.
