MeP partecipates to INTUS_environmental Intelligence, Narrativity, Tagging of Urban Resources and Spreading Sensors, a project sponsored by MIUR within the National Operational Programme Research and Competitiveness 2007-2013 Smart Cities and Communities and Social Innovation.

The initiative (October 15, 2012 – April 15, 2015) describes an innovative solution for the creation of cultural tourism services for the use of experiential and customized sites based on:

  • Contents of memory, extracts of historicized sources, such as archives, libraries, literature, anthropology witnessing, etc..- with the techniques of scanning, indexing and semantic atomization and topographic;
  • Solution of digital storytelling, able to compose the atoms of digital content in narrative thematic trails relevant to the communication opportunities of the urban environment;
  • Techniques for Environment Intelligence, able to read the physical environment of the city as interactive, with a continuous exchange between visitors and urban places of interest.

The integrated enhancement model will be tested on the city of Palermo and Corleone, using the documentation of the Maxi-Trial preserved in the archives of CIDMA.
